Who is your friend?
We improvised a new scene, starting from the exercise at different speeds and developing into something different, adding intentions and working with found objects. We explored again the first scene using some of the same objects.
- Warm-up
- Walk and respond to three instructions (clap once to change direction, clap twice to reverse, clap three times to stop)
- Walk at different speeds (1-5)
From walking at different speeds, development of the paranoia scene (one is changing the speed and the rest are following. Engage with the gaze).
In the previous exercise, we included two pieces of paper that we passed each other with different intentions. A plastic bottle of water was let slid down a whiteboard and hidden underneath to give the idea of a ‘bomb’. A white frame found on the floor was used to give the idea of a mugshot. The whiteboard was employed to leave messages to each other: ‘What does it mean?’.
A bookrest was used as a typing machine, on the floor, and the whiteboard was used for a countdown.
