Filmmaking

My filmmaking includes a series of ready-made works, in which, following my fascination with the conceptual work of Marcel Duchamp, I edited together material that I had collected with no agenda, as a research method to investigate what really moves me. The topic was never imposed on the material, but was the lens through which the material had been collected in the first place.
'Landing' is the only short film involving my family where I filmed with a plan, even putting together a storyboard, though I still tried to keep a touch of serendipity.
'Fuori Programma' is the first outcome of my PhD project (2019–2024) ‘Performing Stragismo and Counterspectacularisation: Italian Right-Wing Terrorism and Its Legacies’, co-supervised by the Universities of Edinburgh, Strathclyde and Glasgow, and funded by SGSAH.
